To borrow the words of an old song, summer is here and it’s time to… buy term life insurance.

why is that? Well, we have several reasons.

But really, there’s nothing wrong with the time to buy life insurance — for just less than you pay for your streaming service, you can get a policy that helps ensure your loved ones don’t die while you’re at it. Sustain financial hardship while not around. (Think about it: you pay for everything from your mortgage or rent to your groceries. If you can’t pay your bills, who will?)

But because summer is here, we thought we’d explain exactly why it’s a good idea to stop procrastinating and enjoy the benefits of a term life insurance policy.

in the text:

It’s hot

Life insurance will keep your cool. Here’s how: You know how you sweat when you’re feeling panicky and terrified? Well, if you have a life insurance policy, you have one less thing to worry about — you know your family is financially protected in case the worst happens. Even better, you can get this protection for probably less per month than you paid for your last family pizza dinner or ballpark deal.

look? You already feel cool.

hot part two

In spring or fall, you’ll take a long walk in nature, enjoying the sights and smells of budding and/or dying leaves. Come summer, though, it’s all about the air conditioning. You might as well take a few minutes to apply for life insurance while you’re in there anyway. Thanks to Haven Life’s simple online process, you might be able to get coverage in minutes—or roughly how long a walk on a hot block takes to cool off.

summer friday

If you’re lucky enough to take a half-day vacation every week (or even weeks), you know how easy it is to waste those precious afternoons scrolling or playing Wordle.

Want to do something more productive during that time? Try applying for life insurance. It only takes a few minutes and discounted rates are available to healthy and eligible customers. For example, a healthy 30-year-old male could get a $500,000 policy for 30 years for just $29.99 a month.

Or, if you have already applied, now is a good time to schedule a medical exam.

Trust us: Wordle will wait.

summer vacation

You know what that means: relaxation, exploration, and of course, an increased chance of dying.

In 2021, an estimated 42,000 Americans will died in a traffic accident. If you’re hitting the road this summer, there’s a non-zero chance that this will be your last drive. (What can we say? We spend a lot of time with actuaries.)

But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing you can do. Fasten your seat belt, for example. Second, consider getting your life insurance policy leveled so that if something happens, your family will be covered by the policy’s death benefit. (See also: Other high-risk summer activities like setting off fireworks, swimming in a lake, enduring bites from disease-carrying mosquitoes, choking on popsicles…)

Snowing

If you don’t already have a life insurance policy, now is always the best time to change it. After all, you’ll never be younger than you are, and the younger you are, the lower your monthly premiums are likely to be.

You’re also likely to be healthier than ever — for example, if the fall brings an unexpected diagnosis, you may have to pay more for life insurance, or even struggle to find coverage. We obviously hope you don’t experience adverse health conditions, but why take the risk?

Hey, maybe you’re starting a family. Or pay your mortgage for the next 30 years. Or saddled with student loan debt.

Or maybe you’ve started a family, taken out a mortgage, and are paying off debt. Between parenthood and home ownership, you’ve been putting off buying long-term plans like life insurance. However, if someone is relying on you to cover their expenses, life insurance is not only a good idea, it is necessary.

And, now more affordable than ever.
Still don’t believe it? Get a quote and see for yourself. Then make sure to drink plenty of water, enjoy some hot dogs or veggie dogs, and apply plenty of sunscreen. If things get too hot, think of the sweet, sweet relief that comes with peace of mind and let yourself cool off.

  • Approval takes some time. It took me almost 30 days from the day the lab work was drawn to get approved.

  • Fill out the form on Sunday afternoon, and all the applications will be approved before noon on Monday. I was initially told I would need a medical, but in the process, it was determined that I didn’t actually need one to be approved. So, this was a welcome surprise. Also, the initial quote I received (before completing the application) was only about $15 less than the final approved premium. The Haven team communicated with me regularly throughout the application process and answered my questions in a timely manner. Overall, it was an extremely smooth, efficient, and enjoyable experience. My family and I are very happy to have this affordable policy that will last for 30 years, well into my 70s. Thank you, Haven!

  • The application process is simple and the rates are favorable compared to other insurance companies I have considered. The health screening section was a bit long and I kept getting follow-up questions about my wife’s medical history but not my own.

  • Easy to apply I just got approved last week so didn’t have to make any claims or anything like that (since it’s a life insurance policy which is a good thing I guess lol). But what puts Haven Life high on my list is their intuitive website and easy application process. All done online, followed by a physical at my home! Very simple process.

  • Their term life insurance does not have a medical exam. Customer service is responsive and helpful. The price is comparable to another company with the same terms.
