Cloud platform startup Render has closed a $50 million Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Other participants in the round included General Catalyst, South Park Common Fund and Addition — all existing investors.
Render’s DevOps cloud platform is designed to provide flexible, cheaper and simpler infrastructure than its competitors. Render allows developers to focus less on server setup, deployment, and scaling, and more on core product development. Since its launch, Render’s customer base now includes companies like Watershed and Fortune 500 companies like Red Bull.
The San Francisco-based company won the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield at TC Disrupt 2019. With this financing, the company has raised a total of $77.5 million.
“Funding from this round will be used to scale the platform to support the needs of larger engineering teams and double down on best-in-class workflows and tools,” said CEO Anurag Goel.
