The central bank of Singapore recorded a record annual loss in the 2022-23 fiscal year, mainly due to a stronger Singapore dollar and higher interest payments.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore recorded a net loss of S$30.8 billion ($22.8 billion) for the financial year ended March 31, its largest ever, and widened from S$7.4 billion the previous year.
