The Reserve Bank of Fiji unveiled an unusual commemorative $7 note on March 26. The note commemorates the victory of Fiji’s women’s and men’s rugby sevens teams at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The $7 note is the second commemorative coin of this denomination issued by the RBF. The first was launched in 2017 to celebrate the men’s rugby sevens team winning gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The obverse of the note is tinted bronze and features the women’s rugby team celebrating winning a bronze medal in Tokyo.this
