The use of cash in the euro zone has fallen over the past three years, the ECB said. However, 59% of transactions in 2022 will still be in cash.
According to the 2022 Space (European Consumer Payment Attitudes Study) survey results published on December 20, 34% of point-of-sale payments are made with cards. 3% of transactions are made through mobile apps.
