Cannondale hopes to encourage riders to embrace the call of the wild with the introduction of the Adventure Neo Allroad line of Class 2 and Class 3 e-bikes—a tougher, go-anywhere version of its 2021 urban model.
The Adventure Neo Allroad style is the entry-level model in the line at $1,675, and like its two-series siblings, it’s only available in the U.S. and Canada with a choice of crossover or crossover frames.
A 250-watt Bafang rear hub motor provides 20 mph (32 km/h) of pedal assist, plus there’s a thumb throttle and seven-speed gear set for even more riding options. The 418-watt-hour removable downtube battery is reported to have an estimated range of up to 47 miles (75.6 kilometers) per charge at the lowest level of assist.
Rounding out the key specs are 27.5-inch wheels wrapped in 2.6-inch Kenda Booster tyres, mechanical disc brakes with 180mm rotors and motor cut-off, and integrated front and rear lights.

The EQ variant is also a Class 2 e-bike and uses the same drivetrain and the same battery as the base Allroad model. But this $1,825 e-bike has a Bafang LCD display, has Tektro hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors, and has an EQuipped (sorry) with a rear rack and fenders.
A Class 3 Speed model with higher specs costs $2,025. The frame is the same as before, but this e-bike has a Suntour suspension fork with 100mm of travel. The 750-W Bafang rear hub motor provides five levels of pedal assist up to 28 mph (45 km/h), has an eight-speed gearset instead of seven (but no throttle), and the battery suffers Shock PAS1 over 70 miles (112.6 lumens) at 720 watts.

The center-mounted Bafang monitor includes a USB charging port for charging mobile devices on the go, it stops using Tektro hydraulic brakes in a different style than the EQ, and also offers a heavy-duty rear rack rated to tow 55 lbs (25 kg), plus complete fenders.
All Adventure Neo Allroad models are available now and are compatible with a wide range of optional accessories such as Cannondale’s new OutFront Rack, which has a 33 lb (15 kg) capacity, as well as baskets, baskets, cages, bottles and more.
