Argentina’s central bank announced on February 2 that it will issue a new highest denomination banknote in response to rising inflation.
The Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) said it would issue the 2,000-peso note ($5.30), but did not give a date for its release. The peso denominations currently in circulation range from 10 to 1,000.
